Accidentally In Love With...A God? by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff Book Review
I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads!
Emma has been hearing a male voice speaking to her basically her whole life, keeping her from dating and having a normal life. The voice is sexy and is driving her crazy. She is intent on ridding herself of his presense and is convinced by the voice to travel into the Mayan jungle where she can free his body from imprisonment. She rescues him and they begin a journey trying to save her, his siblings, and the world from dark priests. With traitors in their midst and a deep attraction to each other, they fight against their feelings for one another. Will their love prevail? Will they manage to free the others (his siblings) and save humanity? You will have to read to find out.
I absolutely loved this book. It was so different and enthralling. I loved the characters and how they interacted with one another. Totally a keeper in my personal library. I so was not expecting the ending - total cliff hanger. Cannot wait to read more of this series and this author. Wow! 5 Stars!

I got the book for free through Goodreads First Reads! I received it and I finished it in a day because I couldn't put it down!
Tessa Galloway is a gardener at Casa Blanca (Barefoot Bay's Resort), who works alongside her longtime friends. She was cheated on by her ex-husband who got the other woman pregnant. She had tried for 10 years to get pregnant but it hadn't happened. Due to her husband cheating and a lying mother she has a deep hatred for secrets. She desperately wants a baby and is looking for the perfect donor for surragacy.
John Brown is hired at the resort as the chef and the electricity between the two could power a huge city but both Tessa and John have issues. John is not who he says he is. He was forced into the witness protection program after finding his wife and brother in law murdered. He saw the murderers as they were leaving his house. His six month old twins (at the time of the murder) were taken away two months later and put into separate witness protection. He has been trying for three years to get them back. He finally gets the chance but has to have a steady job and a wife. However things are far from easy, as he starts falling in love with Tessa. He wants to tell her the truth but is torn because his handler is telling him he can't. He wants to marry Tessa for real but he also wants his kids back. Will Tessa be able to forgive him when she finds out the truth? Will their love survive? You will have to read to find out!

The cover is very beautiful and the books content lives up to its beauty. The story is very engaging and the characters are very likeable and real.
This story is about Jess, whose parents were murdered when she was a young teenager. She becomes an FBI agent and her current case is about to send her hurtling into the past. The book is aptly named because Jess and Tom (her boss and love interest) will both receive closure from their pasts and maybe start a future together. You will have to read to find out more. This is definitely a keeper and will be part of my personal library for a good many years to come. I will totally be reading this over and over again!
I would totally recommend this book for anyone who loves a good romance or for someone who loves a mystery (suspense).
